Tamagotchi Update #2: Toy Haul Shenanigans and Paradise Screen Issues

Another week, another update about me raising and growing my Tamagotchi collection

♪♪\(^ω^\)( /^ω^)/♪♪

So I had a bit of a haul. I had Angelgotch and Devilgotch arrive. At least... I'd like to say that. See, Angelgotch did arrive

but the Devilgotch that arrived was a gacha toy. That may have been apparent to anyone who read my last post, but it wasn't so clear to me.

I didn't read the listing properly and majorly messed up. But I'm taking this mess up as a happy little accident since I now have a cute chain to decorate my Paradise with.

I actually wondered why everyone in the community kept saying Devilgotch was rare to get when I found it for very cheap on eBay and I couldn't help but go "Ohhhh that's why." when I found an actual listing with the game. They go for up to $600+ usd now. Unfortunately, this little guy will have to stay on my ISO for now.

g

And to make matters worse, I can't play Angelgotch yet since I don't have the batteries lying around in the bottom of my battery drawer. It needs 2 LR44, AG13 or L1154 batteries to work. None are at my local Walmart, so I'll try eBay or Amazon instead.

Some other sucky news is that my Tamagotchi Paradise screen scratched only 5 days into owning it. I thought I'd be fine not using a screen protector because I'm currently living a working from home lifestyle, so it normally just goes around the house with me in my pocket when I'm not playing with it.

g

Ignore the white ball on the screen. It's the light.

Big mistake on my end. I tried using Vaseline to fix the scratches, but it doesn't seem to have done much. I'll try Displex or Polywatch to try to remove them since I saw some redditors saying it's worked for them on other Tamagotchi models. Honestly, I could live with the scratches but one of them is super noticeable during gameplay and it's annoying to see.

g

In other news, my first baby bred between Pochitchi and Sebiretchi in Tamagotchi Paradise became an adult!

She's the first Tamagotchi I have ever named since I just didn't know what to call her dad (Pochitchi) because he showed his personality late into his evolutions.

She is Bloomy and the name mostly comes from the word Bloom because of her love for flowers. I guess it's coral since she's in the sea, but originally, she was on land and loved flowers. She also loves balloons singing, loves her plushies A LOT and occasionally her little box too.

Sady our time was cut short when I decided to breed her for the 3rd generation in my cute family tree challenge. I'm trying to breed the cutest Tamagotchi's while also seeing what traits get passed down.

So far, the yellow skin and pink cheeks have made it all the way to the third gen, and I attribute this to both the grandparents having yellow skin. The pink cheeks come from grandma's side of the family and it's amazing how that trait is still being passed down. I'm excited to see how far down these traits will go.

That's all for now! Next week I'll be reporting in about how life is going managing two Tamagotchi's at the same time since I plan to run both Paradise and Angelgotch once I get batteries.
